InfantSEE® Program

InfantSEE is a public health program designed to ensure that eye and vision care becomes an integral part of infant wellness care to improve a child’s quality of life. Under this program, we will provide a comprehensive infant eye assessment within the first year of life as a no-cost public health service. Things that the eye doctor will test for include: excessive or unequal amounts of nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism; eye movement ability; and eye health problems.

High-Tech Equipment

Racine Optical Co. has two new pieces of high-tech equipment, 3-D OptoMap & OCT, which will allow me to take better care of your eyes and prevent vision loss. The 3-D OptoMap Ultra-Widefield digital retinal imaging helps us make informed decisions regarding your eye health and overall well-being. Without a comprehensive eye health exam, you may not be aware of potential vision threats. You may see clearly and have no pain but still be at risk. The 3-D OptoMap captures 80% of your retina in one image, takes only seconds to perform, is not painful and typically does not require dilation of your pupils!
Your retina (lining inside of your eyeball) is the only place in the body where blood vessels can be seen directly. In addition to eye conditions like Glaucoma, Cataracts, Retinal Detachment and Macular Degeneration, signs of other systemic diseases can also be seen in the retina like Heart Disease, Stroke, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes and Cancer.

The Health of your eyes matter to you and it matters to us too, which is why we are now offering OCT to our patients. This new highly advanced camera simultaneously takes a digital photograph and a 3D Cross-Section scan of the back of your eye. This scan is non-invasive, painless and can be completed in 60 seconds or less. Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma patients will get the best care with the help of this new instrument. You can rest assured, we will not only help you to see as clearly as possible, but also make certain you will continue to see clearly for the rest of your life on earth.
